I'm almost certain that SD3 is the way to go but I want to be sure that tweaking each drum isn't going to kill the spontaneity of a session. I know, this works with Groove Agent, but I don’t have the Addictive Drums 2. I hope, this works with the Addictive Drums 2. Click on it, and select Create Drum map From Instrument. Open Inspector of the track Track Name (the 1st) tab. only me and a handful of friends will listen to? Is this something that I can create a preset and then apply it to different kits or would I need to do it on a kit by kit basis and then save the preset for each? Add an Instrument track, select the Addictive Drums 2. that Superior Drummer 3 is a real monster with lots of tweaking ability and degree of control. Moderator: KVR Moderators (Main) 11 posts of 1.
#ADDICTIVE DRUMS 2 VS SUPERIOR DRUMMER 3 HOW TO#
I know EZ2 is much better at getting sounds immediately but how much work is really needed in SD3 to get a good sound fairly quickly? I know a fair amount of how to get drums to sound good in a mix but I'm not sure if I want to endlessly adjust things to get the drums to sound good on a song that. Black Friday fight - XLN Addictive Drums 2 vs Steven Slate Drums 5.5. I find AD to be the most realistic, easiest to use re tuning, mixing etc with a whole host of excellent presets. AD is the one I come back to time and time again but I do use Ez a lot too for less mainstream stuff. I have AD, EZ with many SD sounds, SSD and used to have Bfd. I'm not a big fan of the tiny interface in EZ though. Re: Addictive drums 2 vs Superior Drummer 3.
#ADDICTIVE DRUMS 2 VS SUPERIOR DRUMMER 3 PLUS#
The big plus to SD3 is definitely about having the grid editor in there (so my drums are always live and I'm not jumping back and forth to edit in Logic). The second part is I'm used to having much more control over the sound and mix but I really miss having the ability of editing the beats easily in the EZ2 demo. I find the variations a massive inspiration in all this. I play and record for fun and I create songs that almost always start off with a beat so that's where the song creator part is a BIG part of why I'm considering SD3. I'm really digging' the song creator and the MIDI for generating ideas. *This purchase does not contain Superior Drummer 3 software.I'm on the fence with buying SD3 and would like some advice.Ĭurrently I use an older version of Addictive Drums and I've been trying out the EZ2 demo. Similarly, if you want to produce and spend the time to heavily tweak your own drum sample sounds, you probably want Superior. If you wish to play drums via a MIDI drum set, you probably want Superior over EZD. Addictive Drums often have a 50 off sale. Superior drummer is a higher end, highly configurable and tunable virtual drum instrument. But EZDrummer has a much better interface for searching for beats and assembling songs. *Presets require Toontrack Superior Drummer 3 to run with Superior Drummer 3 Core Library and Room Mics installed I far prefer the sound of the drums in Addictive Drums, so it has become my go to. *Pack limited to 2 downloads per purchase.
